On-street, Handicap plates and visible placards can park as long as they want, for free, at any metered spots.
A handicap parker does not need to do anything with the pay station.
Parking meters are enforced from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday - Saturday. Parking on Sundays and holidays are free of charge. In the Canal District, enforcement is in effect until 9:00 p.m. and two hour time limits will be enforced on Sundays.
Pay stations are located in your parking area. The on-street kiosks/meters nearby offer an easy to use touch screen interface to get you paid and on your way. Simply enter your license plate number into the machine, which ticketing enforcement uses to confirm paid parking sessions. This means there are no receipts on the dashboard. Payment options include Coins, AMEX, Discover, MasterCard and Visa.
You can also park and pay by phone using the new Passport Parking App when visiting downtown Worcester. Pay (a small flat service fee may apply), track, extend and manage your parking session all from your phone. Look for the unique zone number on Pay to Park or Parking App signs and decals nearby.
Long-term meter rentals are available to construction workers who will be working in an area for an extended period of time.
